For those focused solely on Ethereum Layer 2 solutions right now, Uniswap V3 remains a giant, though its concentrated liquidity model, which lets liquidity providers place funds within specific price ranges, is brilliant for capital efficiency but can be deeply confusing for casual users who just want to stake money and walk away. It requires active management to avoid missing out on fees, which contradicts the “set it and forget it” ethos some users want. If you’re serious about minimizing fees and keeping speed up, you simply must look away from pure Ethereum Layer 1 for active trading right now; it’s just too expensive unless you’re moving hundreds of thousands of dollars. Solutions utilizing Layer 2 Rollups like Arbitrum—where Uniswap and SushiSwap have popular deployments—provide a much better experience, dropping transaction costs down to cents, sometimes pennies.
